Opportunities to share and evaluate other ideas and approaches aid learning but more importantly, these skills can and should be transferred into the workplace.

Programme Methodology

IPMA believes that management development programmes must enable managers to develop skills that can be transferred into the workplace. IPMA therefore, require all managers to not only attend and contribute to these intensive seminars and workshops but also to be assessed to ensure the achievement of all learning objectives for the benefit of the participant.

Formal sessions will be centred upon Case Study analysis of real-world problems and scenarios. At the end of each session, managers will be given a case study to analyse on their own and will be required to submit for assessment their analysis and recommendations to specific questions relating to the Case Study.

This approach has been proven to provide the greatest benefit to the participating manager as it allows the managers to:

  • Become more critical of events and situations.
  • Become more confident in handling different situations and problems.
  • Develop better communication skills in proposing changes and new ideas.
  • Understand team dynamics to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Develop leadership skills.
  • Understand the complexities of strategic management and business policies.
  • Provide direction for their organization in meeting competitive pressures.
